Registered Nurse Manager

Responsibilities

• Administer, direct, and coordinate activities of patient care of assigned units per 24 hours.
• Make recommendations, develop, and implement policies and procedures; apprise the Director of Nursing and the Director of Health Services of progress and potential problems.
• Direction and evaluation of patient care delivery.
• Second line supervisor of RN Managers (one per 24 hours, 7 days per week).
• Supervision of Central Nursing Office RN Manager (assigned).
• Assume administrative responsibilities for the Nursing Department in the absence of the Director of Nursing.
• Participate in random and post-accident drug and alcohol testing as required.

• Education:
  
  Diploma or associate's degree in nursing.
• Experience:
  
  Two years equivalent to a Registered Nurse 12 or a Registered Nurse Manager 12, or one year equivalent to a Registered Nurse 13 or a Registered Nurse Manager 13.
• License:
  Michigan license in good standing as a registered nurse.
• Additional:
  Ability to work 12 hour shifts.
