Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery (Contract). Position

Location:

Battle Creek, MI. Weekly stipend: $1,246. Hourly pay: $25–$28. Base pay: $900–$1,008 per week. Contract length: 13 weeks starting 8/03/2026.

Night shift, 12 hours/day, 3 days per week. Shift hours: 19:00–7:30.

Provide nursing care in obstetrics, mother/baby, and labor & delivery areas. Work in all areas of the LDRP unit, including ante‑partum, labor & delivery, OR circulating, scrub nurse, newborn nursing, and couplet care. Perform lab draws and newborn hearing screens.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in obstetrics or labor & delivery.
• Must have OB, Mother/Baby and L&D experience.
• Patient ratios follow AWHONN guidelines.
• Will work all areas of LDRP.
• No return to office (RTO) the first two weeks of contract.
• Holiday coverage required with flexible RTO during holidays.
• Work every other weekend.
• Float to house as sitter when needed; float to Bronson Methodist Kalamazoo (27 miles) if census allows.
• No call requirement.

• Required: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NRP, AWHONN Intermediate and/or NCC C‑EFM.
• Preferred: AWHONN Advanced.

• Required: Circulate, FHM Triage.
• Preferred: Scrub.

Unit: 15 bed LDRP with 3 triage bays and 2 operating rooms.

EMR: EPIC. Scrubs provided. Training to complete newborn infant hearing screens (ALGO 5 machine). # and #ZRHC identifiers removed.
