Unit Coordinator (RN) – NICU (Nights)

Location: Bronson Methodist Hospital (BMH) – Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
Schedule: Full‑time, 40hrs/week. Night shifts (typically two 12‑hour clinical shifts and two 8‑hour office shifts) with occasional variable shifts. Shift may vary based on patient census and department needs.
Sign‑On Bonus: Up to $10,000.

Overview

Lead the NICU team as a clinical liaison and support daily operations, ensuring high‑quality care for our smallest patients and their families.

What You’ll Do
  • Coordinate day‑to‑day unit operations – patient flow, staff assignments, and real‑time staffing adjustments on nights.
  • Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for NICU nursing staff.
  • Partner with leadership on hiring, onboarding, and staff development.
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and performance support to team members.
  • Promote a positive, collaborative team environment and resolve conflicts.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards; assist with audits and process improvements.
  • Act as point of contact for staff, providers, and internal partners during night‑shift operations.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing in the State of Michigan.
  • Two (2) years of clinical nursing experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • One (1) year of NICU RN experience.
  • Previous leadership experience (formal or informal).
  • Master’s degree in Nursing.
  • Advanced nursing certification.
  • Comfort with Microsoft Office tools and basic data tracking.
