Hours:
36 guaranteed hours - Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,770 - $1,870
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Call: None
- Float: May float to similar units within the facility or nearby affiliate locations based on census and volume
- Charting System: Cerner Power Chart
- Orientation: 16 hours
- At least 1 year of nursing experience required; 1-2 years preferred
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Experience caring for telemetry, cardiac, step-down, or progressive care patients strongly preferred
- Comfort working with patient ratios that may range from 1:5-6 and can increase with call-ins
- Ability to provide care for adult and geriatric patients
- Willingness to work every other weekend and 2 of 3 holidays as scheduled
- Must be comfortable floating as needed within similar care areas
- Provide direct patient care on a busy cardiac telemetry unit
- Monitor and assess patients with chest pain, CHF, STEMI/NSTEMI, stroke, arrhythmias, and other cardiac conditions
- Interpret telemetry rhythms and recognize changes in patient condition quickly and accurately
- Administer and monitor cardiac drips and vasoactive medications as ordered
- Support patients requiring remote telemetry and close bedside monitoring
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team including respiratory therapy, phlebotomy, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response resources
- Promote safe, high-quality patient care while adapting to a fast-paced cardiovascular setting
