American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiac Telemetry/Cardiac Short Stay position requiring cardiac unit experience and competency with venous sheath pulls.

• Work in a Cardiac Short Stay department caring for patients pre and post CVL procedures
• Unit operates 24 hours a day to accommodate patient throughput
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Day shift schedule, 4x12 hours, 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required as needed within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals depending on volume/census
• No on-call requirements
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays
• Uses Cerner Power Chart charting system

• Active or pending MI RN license, must apply within 24 hours of offer if pending
• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required, with at least 1 year on a cardiac unit
• Must be competent with venous sheath pulls
• Cerner charting experience required
• First-time travelers accepted

• Provide nursing care to patients before and after cardiac catheterization lab procedures
• Skills utilized may include sheath removal, post cardiac angiogram/cath care, pacemaker management, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and cardiac drip management
• Maximum RTO of 10 days, with a requirement to work 1 of 3 holidays if RTO falls during holiday periods
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel position
• Local candidates will not be accepted
• Candidates must have been separated from previous employment at this health system for at least 3 years before returning as a traveler
