American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Telemetry RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring an active MI RN license and at least 1 year of telemetry experience.

• Work in a 54-bed Cardiac Telemetry unit, the facility's main cardiac monitoring unit
• Care for patients with heart failure, STEMI/NSTEMI, stroke requiring cardiac monitoring, arrhythmias, and chest pain, with possible overflow medical patients
• Patients are monitored both remotely via telemetry and closely on the unit, including cardiac drips
• Patient ratios typically range from 1:5-6, potentially up to 1:7 during call-ins
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours )
• Every other weekend required
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays
• No call requirements
• Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed
• Floating to affiliate hospitals nearby may be required depending on volume/census
• Uses Cerner Power Chart for charting

• Active MI RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required, with 1-2 years preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Cerner charting experience required
• Must be comfortable working with high patient ratios (1:5-7)
• Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility

• Provide cardiac telemetry nursing care including monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, and use of rapid response/code teams as needed
• Skills such as cardiac drip management, sheath removal, TR band, post cardiac cath/surgery care, and pacemaker management are relevant to this role
• Royal blue scrubs required
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Maximum RTO allowed is 10 days; if RTO falls during holidays, travelers must be willing to work at least 1 of the 3 major holidays
• Previous employees must have been separated from the facility for at least 3 years before returning as a traveler
• Does not accept local candidates
