American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Telemetry RN for a Cardiac Short Stay unit, requiring 2 years of nursing experience with cardiac unit background and competence with venous sheath pulls.

• Work in the Cardiac Short Stay department caring for patients pre and post CVL procedures
• Unit operates 24 hours a day to support patient throughput
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Day shift schedule, 4x12 hours from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM
• No on-call requirements
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required as needed within the hospital or nearby affiliate hospitals depending on volume/census
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays
• Uses Cerner Power Chart charting system

• Active or pending MI RN license required (must apply within 24 hours of offer if pending)
• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required, including at least 1 year on a cardiac unit
• Competency with venous sheath pulls required
• Cerner charting experience required
• First-time travelers accepted

• Provide nursing care to patients before and after cardiac catheterization lab procedures
• Skills utilized include cardiac drip management, dysrhythmia interpretation, telemetry remote monitoring, and post cardiac cath/angiogram care
• Maximum RTO allowed is 10 days, and if RTO falls during holidays, must be willing to work at least 1 of the 3 major holidays
• Local candidates not accepted; travelers must live at least 50 miles from the facility
• Previous staff must have a 3-year gap before returning as a traveler on this account
