Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department

Provide patient-centered care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation). Rapidly assess, triage, and prioritize patients based on acuity. Monitor patient condition and respond quickly to changes. Administer medications and treatments in accordance with clinical standards. Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams. Delegate appropriate tasks within scope of practice. Educate patients and families and support safe discharge planning. Accurately document care, response, and outcomes.

• Associate's Degree in Nursing (required)
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred); must obtain within 8 years of hire
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Michigan, in good standing

• Basic Life Support (BLS) required upon completion of orientation
• Additional certifications (e.g., ACLS, PALS, or other emergency/critical care certifications) may be required based on unit

• Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
• Ability to interpret clinical data and communicate effectively
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment

• Frequent standing, walking, and patient handling
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
