American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring an active MI RN license and prior telemetry experience.
Requirements
- Active MI RN license required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Tele nursing experience required
- Cerner charting experience preferred
Responsibilities
- 46-bed surgical unit (4N) with a patient population including trauma surgery, post bariatric, post abdominal, post amputation surgery, and urological cases
- Also accepts medical and cardiac overflow patients
- Day shift, 4x12 hours, 7:00 AM-7:30 PM
- Patient ratios typically 1:5-6, up to 1:7 during call-ins
- Required to work every other weekend and every other holiday
- No on-call requirements
- Floating required based on facility census and staffing needs
- Uses Cerner charting system
- Provide nursing care to a surgical and medical/cardiac overflow patient population
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Maximum of 10 days RTO permitted
- Candidates requesting holiday RTO must be willing to work one of the three major holidays
- Former employees must be separated from the facility for at least three years before returning as a traveler
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Required to complete onboarding modules within the first week of the assignment
- Facility maintains strict professional conduct standards; attendance issues or unprofessional behavior may result in contract termination
