Available Units Adult Medical Unit (AMU)
A 33-bed unit caring for stable medical patients, with a focus on geriatric populations. The unit also cares for a small number of gynecological surgical patients.

Cardiology UnitA 35-bed cardiac specialty unit providing care for patients with acute and chronic heart conditions. The unit includes a 6-bed progressive care area and offers opportunities to develop strong cardiac assessment and patient education skills.

Extended Medical Care Unit (EMCU)
A 25-bed medical unit specializing in patients who require longer hospital stays. Nurses care for a variety of medical and surgical patients and have the opportunity to follow patients throughout their recovery journey.

General Medical Unit (GMU)
A 29-bed stepdown unit caring for patients with pulmonary, renal, and oncology diagnoses. Nurses gain experience with treatments such as dialysis, chemotherapy, and insulin infusions while working in a fast-paced environment with strong teamwork.

General Surgery Unit (GSU)
A 47-bed unit specializing in general, vascular, thoracic, urological, gynecological, and bariatric surgery. The unit also cares for a diverse medical patient population.

Neurovascular Unit (NVU)
A 40-bed medical-surgical unit providing specialized care for patients with stroke, epilepsy, spinal surgery, and other neurological conditions. The unit also includes a dedicated neuro-monitoring program.

Ortho Surgical Unit (OSU)
A 24-bed unit specializing in orthopedic care, including hip fractures and total joint replacements. Nurses help patients regain mobility and independence following surgery.

Adult Float Pool (AVIP Med/Surg)
Float nurses work across multiple medical-surgical units throughout the hospital, providing flexibility and exposure to a wide range of patient populations and clinical experiences.
