Grounds Maintenance Crew

Wolverine Lawn Services is hiring Grounds Maintenance Crew Members and Crew Leads to join our fast‑growing outdoor services team. This full‑time position combines hands‑on grounds care with optional leadership responsibilities. We maintain beautiful residential and commercial properties while delivering exceptional customer service.

• Perform lawn care and landscaping tasks, including mowing, trimming, edging, blowing, pruning, landscape installs, and debris cleanup
• Operate commercial‑grade equipment safely
• Maintain clean uniforms and a professional appearance
• Support snow season activities as assigned
• Follow safety procedures and company standards

• Lead, train, and motivate crew members during daily work
• Assign work based on skill level, equipment availability, and daily priorities
• Ensure crew follows safety protocols and OSHA standards (PPE, equipment handling, vehicle safety)
• Inspect job sites before and after work to ensure high‑quality standards
• Maintain crew schedules, track hours, and report progress
• Communicate with managers or clients regarding special instructions or issues
• Align team and personal behavior with Wolverine Culture and Values

• Prior experience in lawn care, landscaping, or grounds maintenance preferred
• Valid driver’s license; ability to obtain a chauffeur license
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and perform physical labor (lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, kneeling, standing)
• Strong teamwork, communication, and problem‑solving skills

• Leadership experience or ability to guide a small crew
• State Pesticide Applicator License:
  Core, 3A, 3B, 6 (or willingness to obtain)
• Knowledge of lawn care best practices, equipment operation, and safety procedures

Compensation: $18 - $23 hourly
