The purpose of this job is to assist with all internal and external agency contracts and compliance to federal, state, and local (millage) guidelines through audit methods. Ensure continuous service quality, relevance, and improvement through the initiation of community surveys, needs assessments, and the collection and interpretation of data. Provide support to the Supervisor-Contracts & Quality Assurance.

In addition to duties outlined below, this position will focus on establishing Elder Abuse Prevention Activities, Event Coordination & Support, and Grant Writing.

• Assist with ensuring compliance of all AAA contracts (over 50) regulating federal, state, and local millage funding usage and service implementation. Provide support with internal contract requests.
• Liaises between the Michigan Department of Health & Human Services Aging & Adult Services Agency (AASA), contracted providers, community partners, and the AAA; provides technical assistance to all parties.
• Assist in tracking, drafting and amending contracts in various implementation stages.
• Coordinates internal and external data collection initiatives to identify quality improvement needs, ensure service relevance, and forecast current/future agency needs.
• Responsible for the collection and processing of internal programmatic and external vendor performance data.
• Implement biannual internal client satisfaction surveys to help in the assessment of AAA’s performance, identify feedback trends, and identify areas in need of improvement.
• Complete periodic service area needs assessments to define unmet or underutilized programs, services, and community needs.
• Assist AAA Leadership in program implementation, quality & compliance initiatives, service development, communication with community partners, and coordination and execution of the selection and contracting process for AAA and community programming.
• Coordinate auditing of contracted providers to verify adherence of all federal, state, and/or local millage operating standards.
• Assist in developing community collaborations, programs, and networks in accordance with AAA goals.
• Represent the AAA at various County and community meetings, as identified by supervisory staff.
• Assist in emergency preparedness and response activities to assist the AAA, contracted vendors, and community in the navigation of adverse events.

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in social work, urban planning, humanities, community organization & advocacy or a related field
• 3 to 5 years of related work experience in community-based organizations, grant writing, program implementation, quality assurance, legal contract management, conducting audits, policy development, and/or implementation of corrective action plans. Knowledge and understanding of aging issues through work/advocacy.
