Location is Kalamazoo, USA. Presence at the client’s site is expected.
Responsibilities:- Lead the analysis, integration and interpretation of complex multi-omics datasets (genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics) to generate actionable biological and immunological insights, moving beyond statistical significance to identify clinically or mechanistically relevant immunological pathways.
- Develop, implement, and validate unsupervised machine learning models, focusing on clustering approaches.
- Independently design and manage pipelines and workflows for efficient processing and analysis of omics data.
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team including immunologists, geneticists, functional genomics experts, biologists, and other data scientists.
- Stay current with the latest advancements in multi-omics and machine learning methodologies.
- Support biomarker discovery efforts through computational data analysis.

- Skills/education?
- Primary requirement: advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in immunology, immuno‑oncology, or a related biological field with a strong track record of using computational approaches to solve biological questions.
- Secondary requirement: we will consider candidates with an advanced degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Data Science, or related field only if they possess a proven track record in immunology (e.g. PhD thesis, peer‑reviewed publications).
- Proven research experience with multi-omics data.
- Familiarity with unsupervised machine learning models, especially clustering.
- Experience with programming languages such as Python and R.
- Experience developing and validating computational models.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a cross‑functional team.
- Familiarity with bioinformatics tools, databases, and data visualization techniques.
- Fluent in English.
