Culinary Lab Assistants

We are looking for passionate and motivated individuals to serve as Culinary Lab Assistants. These positions support culinary instructors, staff, and students with demonstrations and hands-on activities in the classrooms and kitchens.

Examples of typical duties include:

* Opening the kitchen prior to class.

* Supporting the student-run cafe; including preparation of food and cashiering.

* Assisting in the upkeep and sanitation practices of all areas of the Culinary and Allied Health building.

* Assisting in receiving, storing, and the distribution of all food and supplies.

Minimum Qualifications:

* A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

* Knowledge of proper food handling practices is required.

* Candidates must be motivated and reliable.

Preferred Qualifications and

Experience:

* Previous coursework, or industry experience, in culinary arts is preferred.

* Servsafe Manager certification is preferred.

Physical Demands:

* Lifting, bending, stooping, and standing required.

* Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

* Must be able to follow and complete verbal and written duties as assigned.

* Must have manual dexterity; the sufficient fine motor skills to manipulate objects and people safely.

* Ability to work in a high traffic, noisy, indoor environment.

Work Hours:
