Role DescriptionThe Commercial Sales Manager – Lubricants is a full-time, role based in Kalamazoo, MI. This role is responsible for managing and growing commercial lubricants accounts, including prospecting new business, maintaining relationships with existing customers, and developing territory and account plans. The Commercial Sales Manager will conduct on-site customer visits, prepare proposals, negotiate pricing and contracts, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate ordering, delivery, and service.
Day-to-day work includes monitoring market trends, tracking sales performance, reporting results, and aligning sales activities with company objectives and safety standards. The role also involves providing technical product guidance, supporting customer training as needed, and representing Crystal Flash at industry events and customer meetings.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Sales and Sales Management, including experience driving revenue growth and managing commercial accounts.
- Strong Customer Service orientation with the ability to build long-term relationships and respond to customer needs in a timely, professional manner.
- Effective Communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present solutions, negotiate agreements, and collaborate across teams.
- Experience in Business Planning, including territory planning, forecasting, and analyzing market opportunities.
- Background in lubricants, fuels, or related industrial products is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment, managing on-site visits in Grand Rapids, MI and remote responsibilities efficiently.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and basic office software (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for tracking sales activities and preparing reports.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
