Job Title : Principal Bioanalytical Scientist (Ligand Binding Assays)

Location: Onsite, Kalamazoo, Michigan

Contract: Initial 12-month contract with the opportunity for extension, subject to performance.

We're supporting a leading global biopharmaceutical organisation in the search for a Principal Bioanalytical Scientist to join a late-stage development programme focused on Ligand Binding Assays (LBA/ELISA).

This is a hands-on laboratory position where you'll initially support the execution of method validation before moving into assay optimisation, laboratory automation, and knowledge transfer to establish a robust, high-throughput in-house platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute LBA/ELISA method validation activities.
• Optimise assays to improve robustness, repeatability, and throughput.
• Support the transfer of assays onto automated liquid handling platforms.
• Develop SOPs, training documentation, and support knowledge transfer.
• Collaborate with cross-functional scientific teams to deliver project milestones.

Requirements:

• Extensive experience with Immuno Absorbent Assays.
• Strong background in bioanalytical method validation.
• Experience optimising and troubleshooting bioanalytical assays.
• Knowledge of laboratory automation and liquid handling systems.
• Experience producing SOPs and technical documentation.
