• Position located in Battle Creek, MI.
• Must have a valid Michigan Concealed Pistol License (CPL) and Driver’s License.
• Firearm and full duty belt provided at no cost.

Armed Security Officers are responsible for protecting the site’s building, grounds, assets, employees and visitors against criminal activity. Officers will work on a team to control access at entry/exit points of a local headquarters and serve as point of contact to all visitors and patrons.

Air National Guard Base – $21.93/hour, 2-3 days per week (1st Shift ; 3rd Shift ).

• Must provide exceptional customer service.
• Guard posts at entry/exit points of local base.
• Conduct foot & vehicle patrols of interior and exterior grounds to ensure a safe and secure environment.
• Ensure unauthorized persons do not enter restricted areas.
• Check for employee, vendor, and visitor identification.
• Look for suspicious persons, packages, and activities.
• Must follow site-specific post guidelines.
• Document daily activities and report all incidents.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED).
• Must be at least 21 years old and hold a Michigan CPL or LEOSA cardholder to perform armed security work.
• Must not have been convicted of any felonies or misdemeanors related to dishonesty, fraud, impersonation of law enforcement, assault, weapons, unauthorized sale of information or evidence, controlled substances (including marijuana), or multiple alcohol‑related offenses.
• Must pass a drug screening at the time of hire and randomly thereafter (including marijuana).
• Must adhere to the company’s uniform and appearance policy and present a friendly, positive, and professional image.
• Must possess excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to de‑escalate situations in a non‑confrontational manner. Must be fluent in English.
• Must have a valid Michigan driver’s license and a clean driving record with less than 3 moving violations and fewer than 2 at‑fault accidents in the last 3 years.
• Must be willing to become CPR/First Aid/AED certified and administer care in emergencies.
• Must pass a Physical Agility Test within 90 days of hire and annually thereafter (sprinting, sit‑ups, push‑ups, 1.5‑mile run).
• Must be physically and mentally sound, remain alert while on duty, and complete a psychological evaluation upon hire.
• Must be able to sit, stand, and walk long distances, including stairs, for the duration of the shift (8–12 hours).
• Must be able to work indoors or outdoors in all seasons.
• Must be able to use hands and fingers to manipulate keys, tools, and other equipment.
• Must be able to hear conversations in noisy environments.
• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.
• Must be able to work independently with little or no supervision.

• High School Diploma or GED.
