Security Officer – Part‑Time

Location: Unassigned or Multiple Locations

Pay: Minimum $16.85 per hour, determined by education and experience.

Do you have past experience in security services, law enforcement or the military? We are looking for a reliable individual to serve as part‑time Security Officer. Duties include conducting security patrols and safety inspections, assisting students, staff and faculty as needed, monitoring campus activities as assigned and fulfilling other related responsibilities. This is a great opportunity for those interested in pursuing a law enforcement profession or a retired law enforcement professional.

• Conduct security patrols and perform safety inspections.
• Assist students, staff and faculty as needed.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills using Microsoft Office.
• Valid driver license.

• First Aid/CPR certification.
• Prior security experience, including one year in a position requiring decision making and following directions.

• Extensive standing and walking.
• Ability to lift and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to walk extensively and climb stairs.

Up to 20 hours a week, 8‑hour shifts; primarily evenings, weekends, and holidays.
