$20 – $30 per hour.
PurposeWe’re looking for an experienced Drywall Finisher to join our commercial construction team. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in delivering high quality finishes, understands all levels of drywall finishing, and thrives in both independent and team environments.
Key Responsibilities- Perform all phases of drywall finishing on commercial projects
- Apply all 5 levels of drywall finishing with precision
- Operate finishing tools including bazookas, banjos, flat/angle boxes, corner rollers, and power sanders
- Install corner bead, trim beads, and reveal beads using string lines, lasers, squares, or straight edges
- Patch and repair existing drywall to a like-new finish
- Measure and mark surfaces according to blueprints and drawings
- Inspect drywall for imperfections and identify areas needing correction
- Select and apply appropriate joint compounds (quick‑set, lightweight, or standard)
- Ensure smooth, seamless finishes free of visible joints, bubbles, or flaws
- Maintain tight finishes around switches, receptacles, and other openings
- Assist with drywall hanging and related carpentry tasks
- Support installation of acoustical ceiling grid, exterior insulation and framing as needed
- Arrive on time and ready to work at assigned job sites.
- Coordinate with general contractors and other subcontractors to meet project expectations.
- Represent the company professionally, ethically, and courteously.
- Follow instructions and ask for clarification when needed.
- Proficient in reading tape measures and using basic carpentry tools.
- Basic math skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
- Must provide and maintain personal hand tools (power and specialty tools provided by employer).
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs regularly.
- Frequent bending, kneeling, twisting, and climbing ladders.
- Comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions.
- Must pass a pre‑employment physical and drug screen.
- Reliable transportation required to travel between job sites
