Maintenance Mechanic

Mobile Maintenance Mechanic

The Maintenance Mechanic supports operation, inspection, and maintenance processes for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and kitchen equipment and systems in assigned facilities. They assist Mobile Engineers (HVAC/R) and Control Systems Technicians in maintenance and repair efforts, and independently perform defined tasks.

• Maintain lighting system bulbs and ballasts
• Assist the operations team with maintenance and repair of building and equipment
• General interior maintenance: HVAC/R coil cleaning, evaporator coil cleaning, kitchen equipment maintenance (meat grinder, cuber, meat saw, slicers, etc.)
• Perform minor plumbing repairs
• Complete special tasks such as painting, locksmith work, and tenant service requests
• Be on call for after‑hours emergencies
• Comply with all policies for safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials

• Valid state driver’s license
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Self‑motivated individual capable of working independently or in a team

• Completion of applicable technical training program
• Minimum one year of experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing, and basic electrical
• Ability to climb, bend, kneel, lift, and drive frequently
• Excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written
• Tools will be provided for assigned work scope

On‑site – Kalamazoo, MI
