Property Maintenance Team Member
As a key member of our property maintenance team, you will keep our community running smoothly by handling a variety of hands-on tasks:
- Apartment Turns & Carpentry:
Painting, drywall repair/replacement, doors, trim, and installing countertops or cabinetry. - Systems Maintenance:
Troubleshoot and replace HVAC components, electrical fixtures (switches, outlets, shorts, and open circuits), and plumbing (fixtures, water heaters, leaks, and clear drains/disposals). Should have or be able to achieve EPA Refrigerant Recovery Certification preferred - Appliance Repair:
Diagnose and fix burners, elements, switches, thermostats, pumps, and motors. - Community Amenities:
Maintain, clean, and test the pool and spa; assist with seasonal snow/ice removal and general groundskeeping including picking up trash, planting flowers, pulling weeds, laying dirt and mulch, growing grass, moving hoses, fixing fences, sweeping walkways, etc.. - Safety & Tools:
Perform preventative maintenance on all company tools and equipment. - Flexibility:
Work overtime when needed and participate in the emergency on-call rotation.
Other responsibilities include:
- Professionally communicate with coworkers, vendors, and residents
- Must possess positive attitude and desire to lead by example
- Be able to work both independently and as a member of a team
- Must be organized and able to prioritize
- Identify and report to management issues involving the employees, property or residents
- Complete work required by municipalities and building inspectors
- May be asked to assist Supervisor/Manager/Area Director with other tasks and duties relative to community operations

Applicants must have a valid driver's license. Applicants should demonstrate strong attention to detail, the capacity to collaborate effectively within a team and independently, excellent communication skills, adept troubleshooting abilities, sound decision-making skills during maintenance emergencies, and the initiative to undertake responsibilities and tackle challenges while remaining cool under pressure.
Physical requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and safely climb ladders to various heights.
