Maintenance Technician (Full-Time)
Position Title: Maintenance Technician

Compensation: $18.00 — $22.00 per hour, based on experience
Position SummaryAndover Management is seeking a reliable and motivated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining apartment communities in a safe, clean, and attractive condition while providing excellent customer service to residents. This position performs routine maintenance, repairs, unit turns, and assists with preventative maintenance programs.
Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesComplete work orders in a timely and professional manner.
Perform general maintenance and repairs including:
Plumbing
Electrical
HVAC troubleshooting and filter changes
Drywall repair and painting
Carpentry
Appliance repair and installation
Door, window, and lock repairs
Prepare vacant units for new residents, including painting, cleaning, and repairs.
Conduct routine property inspections and identify maintenance needs.
Maintain common areas, grounds, and building exteriors.
Assist with preventative maintenance programs.
Respond to maintenance emergencies as needed.
Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety standards and company policies.
Maintain accurate records of completed work orders and maintenance activities.
Assist with snow removal, salting, landscaping, and other seasonal property needs.
Work collaboratively with property management staff and outside vendors.
- Previous apartment maintenance, residential maintenance, or related experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot maintenance issues.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical labor, including climbing ladders, bending, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
