Maintenance Technician
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of various systems by adhering to safety and food safety regulations. You will play a key role in enhancing the Preventative Maintenance program to minimize downtime, and you will troubleshoot and repair systems including PLCs, electrical, and mechanical systems. Collaboration with multiple departments and organizing the maintenance shop using 5S methodology are essential components of the role.
You will also be expected to learn the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and perform preventative maintenance on baking equipment and conveyor systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair mixing equipment, extruders, servos, VFDs, sensors, feed control systems, refrigeration, proofer, conveyors, boilers, silos, and oven equipment.
- Build, replace, rotate, inspect, and change parts of industrial machines.
- Connect power to machines, install motors, and rewire motors using blueprints and schematics.
- Move machinery and equipment using hoists, dollies, and forklifts.
- Perform MIG welding on steel and aluminum material.
- Run conduit and electrical wiring to new industrial machines.
- Fabricate using drill press, cutting out holes, and making parts.

Work Environment

It is a union environment where employees may be required to work an additional 12-hour shift based on seniority. The plant is a hot and fast-paced environment, often 10-20 degrees warmer than outside due to large industrial ovens used for baking.

Pay and Benefits
