Green Bay Packaging seeks a Maintenance Mechanic Electrician to support our Manufacturing operations within the Engineering, Maintenance & Asset Management team. This role maintains and troubleshoots electrical and mechanical systems on corrugated and packaging equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient production. Responsibilities include preventive and corrective maintenance, PLC and drive troubleshooting, reading schematics, and supporting capital and reliability projects. Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment, focusing on electrical and mechanical systems
- Troubleshoot PLCs, motors, drives, sensors, and control circuits to minimize downtime
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and equipment manuals
- Install, repair, and upgrade wiring, panels, motors, conveyors, and packaging machinery
- Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance & Asset Management on reliability and improvement projects
- Follow lockout/tagout and all safety procedures; maintain accurate maintenance records
- Support continuous improvement, 5
- S, and reliability-centered maintenance initiatives
- Work rotating shifts or overtime as needed to support 24/7 manufacturing operations
Required Skills
- Industrial electrical troubleshooting
- PLC troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley or similar)
- AC/DC motors and variable frequency drives
- Reading electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
- Mechanical systems repair (conveyors, gearboxes, bearings)
- Preventive and predictive maintenance
- Lockout/Tagout and industrial safety practices
- Instrumentation and sensors (proximity, photo-eye, limit switches)
- Basic welding and fabrication
- CMMS usage and maintenance documentation
