General Facility & Maintenance Technician Apprentice

Job Description Overview We're looking for a motivated General Maintenance Technician Apprentice to join the Greenleaf Hospitality Group (GHG) team in an apprenticeship training program. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop hands‑on maintenance skills while working with experienced mentors and also undertaking a specialized training program through a local community college. Successful completion of this two and a half year program will earn you a certification as a Facilities Maintenance Technician, equipping you with the knowledge and skills to contribute effectively to our diverse property maintenance needs.

This program is designed to bolster your technical skills and knowledge in facilities maintenance, culminating in certification as a Facilities Maintenance Technician.

• Assist in routine maintenance and repairs of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other building support systems.
• Support in maintaining exterior and interior areas, including painting, minor carpentry, and landscaping.
• Respond to maintenance requests promptly, ensuring high customer service standards.
• Learn to perform inspections and preventative maintenance tasks to uphold facility standards.
• Learning the computer skills and software programs that are used to manage maintenance work order schedules, environmental controls and other Google platform related applications.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team and external contractors on various projects with the mentor's guidance.
• Record hours worked on tasks under the mentor's approval, ensuring that work performed aligns with required training areas.
• Engage actively in the community college training program (KVCC), applying learned skills to work assignments.

• Two years of experience in building maintenance or equivalent experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training provided through local community college programs.
• Fundamental knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work flexibly within a team and adapt to various tasks.
• Physical ability to perform maintenance tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Valid driver's license.
