General Summary
- Cultivates, contributes and promotes relationships with donors of Principal Gifts.

Major Duties
- Develops and promotes relationship strategies for principal gift prospects in assigned portfolio of many high-level donors.

Coordinates university strategies with principal gift prospects, including determining the interest and affiliation with the University.

Builds relationships with donors and assists in coordinating strategies and personal visits for the involvement of institutional partners.

Achieves and models highest levels of relationship-building and fundraising performance through efforts as an individual contributor.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited institution.

Some relevant experience.

Experience closing, or participating in closing, gifts at the $1M-$10M level.

Experience stewarding gifts in the $1M-$10M level.

Demonstrated ability to work independently.

Willingness to travel on a frequent basis.

Demonstrated high customer service orientation and the ability to function as a VIP concierge in a complex organization.

Proven ability to collaborate and drive complex, multi-unit gifts.

Ability to work irregular shifts and extended hours, including evenings and weekends.

Ability to travel in-state and out-of-state.

Desired Qualifications
- Experience in higher education fundraising.

Physical requirements and working conditions
- Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.

Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements. Ability to work irregular shifts and extended hours, including evenings and weekends.
