General Summary
  • Cultivates, contributes and promotes relationships with donors of Principal Gifts.
Major Duties
  • Develops and promotes relationship strategies for principal gift prospects in assigned portfolio of many high-level donors.
  • Coordinates university strategies with principal gift prospects, including determining the interest and affiliation with the University.
  • Builds relationships with donors and assists in coordinating strategies and personal visits for the involvement of institutional partners.
  • Achieves and models highest levels of relationship-building and fundraising performance through efforts as an individual contributor.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Experience closing, or participating in closing, gifts at the $1M-$10M level.
  • Experience stewarding gifts in the $1M-$10M level.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently.
  • Willingness to travel on a frequent basis.
  • Demonstrated high customer service orientation and the ability to function as a VIP concierge in a complex organization.
  • Proven ability to collaborate and drive complex, multi- unit gifts.
  • Ability to work irregular shifts and extended hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to travel in-state and out-of-state.

Physical requirements and working conditions
  • Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.
  • Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements. Ability to work irregular shifts and extended hours, including evenings and weekends.
