About the PositionLocal Driver CDLA is responsible for the safe and timely transport and delivery of general commodities between warehouses and scheduled destinations. This position drives a diesel tractor/trailer and requires a CDL. Local Drivers perform daily trips and must follow company policy, attend required trainings, and keep the truck clean.
The role may be assigned to business units that require White Glove service beyond standard shipping methods, focusing on product handling from receipt to delivery.
Responsibilities- Operate company equipment to ensure safe and timely delivery.
- Pre‑plan trips and communicate delays to appropriate team members.
- Use secure devices and monitor freight to ensure products are delivered undamaged and in original condition.
- Maintain driver’s daily logs and other required documents.
- Perform full pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections of all equipment operated.
- Report damaged product or delivery issues to the Supervisor/Manager.
- Provide White Glove service at every pickup and delivery.
- Keep equipment fueled, tidy, and in compliance with inspection requirements.
- Secure all dunnage before entering public roads.
- Accountable for assigned tools and equipment.
- Maintain professional conduct towards other motorists.
- Conform to all DOT, OSHA regulations and state laws.
- Perform any other reasonable requests directed by management.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience of tractor‑trailer driving within the past 7years.
- Meets FMCSA and company requirements.
- Pass Background Check, DOT Physical and Drug Screening.

This position is expected to travel approximately 75% or greater.
