Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesThe Delivery Associate will load alcoholic beverages onto a handcart and hand deliver to accounts throughout the northern regions of Michigan from our Traverse City depot. Other duties include:
- Driving CDL Box trucks with airbrakes
- Checking product for damages and/or errors
- Customer Service skills are required – must be courteous, respectful and friendly
- Operating power and manual pallet jacks
- Occasionally operating hi‑lo's
- Cleaning out trucks
- Collecting payment and reconciling route
- Communicating with department personnel professionally
- Operating equipment in all weather conditions
- Ensuring product is delivered to the correct locations in the correct quantities
- Following company, DOT, state and federal policies and procedures
- Performing other duties as assigned
This is a full‑time position working Monday through Friday with start times varying around 5:30 AM. Saturday shifts may be required based on holiday schedules and business needs.
Work Environment & Physical DemandsThe Delivery Associate will be on the road in all weather conditions delivering orders to accounts, which requires the employee to be courteous, respectful and friendly to others. This position is also physically demanding, involving separating and loading cases, and requires the Delivery Associate to regularly lift up to 45 pounds.

- 21 years of age and older
- Chauffeur license
- CDL A or B license with airbrake endorsement
- Minimum 2 years of driving experience in CDL box trucks with airbrakes
- Hi‑lo experience (preferred)
- Experience operating GPS and handheld devices (preferred)
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions
- Willingness to take direction and work independently
- Ability to regularly lift up to 45 lbs.
- Acceptable driving record
- Adherence to the policies and procedures outlined in the employee policy manual and any applicable contracts, signed agreements, and work rules
- Cooperation with all management and staff of GLWAS
- Following all MLCC rules and regulations, as they apply to the position
- Responsible use of alcohol in business activities
A valid driver's license and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) is required. All applicants will be subject to a driving record check as part of the interview process. Failure to maintain a satisfactory driving record may result in withdrawal of the employment offer or disciplinary action, up to and including termination, if employed.

These include a background check on a criminal record and credit score, DOT medical evaluation, breath alcohol test, agility (lift) test, and drug screen.
