Warehouse Lead

Position Summary

Coordinates and assists in the supervision of activities of Halperns’ warehouse functions.

• Collaborates with the supervisor to assist in coordinating the daily activities of Halperns’ warehouse operations.
• Monitors the receiving, selection, and/or loading of warehouse product to ensure the efficient flow of products in the warehouse.
• Assists in observations for employee reviews, and disciplinary actions.
• Monitors and prioritizes order fulfillment.
• Assists in investigating variances.
• Provides training for employees on job technique and/or safety requirements.
• Serve in the function of employee or supervisor as appropriate.
• Assists in resolving warehouse issues, problems or conflicts.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Must have the ability to multi-task, prioritize and be able to work independently or within a team environment.
• Employees in all warehouse positions must be able to immediately perceive auditory warning signals such as bells, alarms, and horns that are used to warn employees of the start-up, movement, or approach of equipment (including forklifts, turrets, overhead cranes, conveyors, trucks, and other equipment operated inside or outside the warehouse), mechanical abnormalities, and similar risk situations during warehouse operations.

• Ability to use a radio frequency handheld computer.
• Ability to operate a PIV.

• At least 1 year of previous warehouse experience required.
