Position Summary:
Receives goods onto dock from delivery trucks and transfers them to the receiving area. Properly identifies items, validates received quantities, logs items, and issues materials to the stockroom, warehouse, or other designated locations.
- Checks goods received against bills of lading or purchase orders.
- Inspects goods for damage and expiration dates.
- Identifies and accounts for all histamine products (seafood only).
- Sorts, counts, and checks received items.
- Maintains required clerical records and completes housekeeping activities.
- Operates warehouse equipment to move goods to storage areas and places them in designated locations.
- Identifies damaged packaging or possible cross‑contaminated products.
- Performs returns.
- Maintains and rotates cooler and freezer contents (USDA only).
- Performs USDA inventory control functions.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
- Must be able to work independently or within a team environment.
- Ability to operate a powered industrial vehicle (PIV).
- Must provide most recent employment experience for consideration of application.
Employees in all warehouse positions must be able to immediately perceive auditory warning signals such as bells, alarms, and horns that are used to warn employees of the start‑up, movement, or approach of equipment, mechanical abnormalities, and similar risk situations during warehouse operations.
Compensation & Benefits$18.00 per hour
Shift: 7:30 am – Finished
