Polytek® Development Corp. is a leading manufacturer of mold making and casting materials. Polytek® is currently looking for a highly motivated, experienced, and extremely organized individual to join our rapidly expanding company.
Essential Job Functions- Keep lines running by delivering required materials to the staging areas.
- Keep warehouse organized by effective use of the ERP system, and effective organization techniques.
- Unload and load delivery trucks, maintain stock, and organize storage of product and raw materials.
- Work collaboratively with site leaders to plan and coordinate production on a daily basis.
- Receive shipments and store inventory as required and enter it into the ERP system. Check shipments for accuracy, stock items appropriately in the warehouse, maintain inventory and return any defective items.
- Identify and label materials, and record their locations in the warehouse/on the shelves to maintain inventory.
- Operate trucks, forklifts, cranes, and other equipment to move freight.
- Perform and report cycle counts.
- Follow written or oral instructions regarding daily tasks and job duties.
- Comply with all warehouse safety rules and guidelines.
- Sort cargo during loading or unloading process and mark containers with identifying information.
- Document the numbers of units handled or moved each day using the ERP system.
- Utilize protective devices—padding, straps, etc—to prevent damage to items during transport.
- Use assistive devices—slings, hooks, etc to lift and guide cargo.
- Follow all rules set forth in Polytek’s Employee Policy Manual.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time and perform repetitive tasks.
- Must be able to lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to bend, squat, walk, stand, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and repeatedly ascend/descend short flights of stairs/ladders for a full shift.
- Must be able to talk, hear and see with vision abilities including close/near, distance, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Must wear job-specific Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for entirety of shift.
- Must be able to understand, speak, write and read English.
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Associates or Bachelors degree preferred but other applicants will be considered based on skills and experience.
- One year manufacturing experience preferred; on the job training to be provided.
- Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) forklift certification required.
- Experience with AWS (Amazon Web Services), working knowledge of efficient warehouse organization and operation.
- Knowledge of and commitment to observe safety procedures.
- Basic computer experience.
