The Chemical & Biological Engineering Department offers bachelor’s degrees in chemical engineering as well as biological engineering. The Department seeks professionals to serve as instructors in the following areas:
- Material Science
- Material and Energy Balances
- Unit Operations Laboratory
- Thermodynamics
- Heat Transfer
- Separation Processes
- Chemical Reaction Engineering
- Process Dynamics and Control
- Bioprocess Engineering
- Bioseparations
- Transport
In addition, opportunities exist for teaching courses within our new biomedical engineering program, developing new courses, and teaching at the graduate level.
Duties and Responsibilities- Teach on-campus and/or online courses.

The ProgramThe Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering offers two undergraduate degree programs:
- Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering
- Bachelor of Science in Biological Engineering
Both of these degree programs integrate chemistry, biochemistry, physics, and mathematics along with oral and written communications courses, and CORE courses in the humanities and social sciences. The bioengineering program adds a significant exposure to biological science in addition to the chemistry core. The chemical engineering and bioengineering programs are fundamentally similar in that both are focused on the transformation of molecules, but the methods and equipment used for biotransformation and separation are quite different from those used for chemical transformations.
