The department seeks a Visiting Instructor for the Academic Year 2026-27 to teach a 0.6 FTE load comprising courses in intermediate microeconomics, principles of macroeconomics, and intermediate macroeconomics.

Salary: $60,000 annually, commensurate with experience, education, and qualifications.
Responsibilities- Teach on‑campus courses in the assigned subjects.
- Advising, evaluating, and assisting students.
- Participate in weekly faculty meetings.
- Collaborate with peer leaders assigned to sections and provide evaluations.
Required:
- Master’s degree or ABD in Economics, Agricultural Economics, or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution.
- Current expertise and substantial knowledge in the specific field or discipline.
Preferred:
- Experience teaching economics.
Contract Type: LOA (Leave of Absence).
Union affiliation is determined by the collective bargaining unit; the Associated Faculty of Montana State University (AFMSU) covers positions 0.5 FTE and larger. Members may choose to pay membership dues.
