• Teach undergraduate and/or graduate finance courses on‑campus and/or online, ensuring high‑quality, engaging instruction.
• Incorporate real‑world applications and experiential learning to enhance student understanding of financial principles and practices.
• Stay current with industry trends, professional standards, and advancements in finance education to maintain course relevance.
• Foster a welcoming and supportive learning environment.

• Master’s degree in finance or a closely related field.

• Ph.D. in finance or a closely related field.
• Ability to teach undergraduate and/or graduate finance courses.
• Industry certification such as CFA, CFP, CMA, CVA, etc.
• Knowledge of current industry trends and practices in financial markets, commercial banking, insurance and risk management, real estate finance, personal finance, investments, corporate finance, and derivative securities.

• Committed to experiential learning, incorporating real‑world applications, case studies, and industry partnerships into teaching.
• Committed to supporting, mentoring, and inspiring students from diverse backgrounds.
• Committed to utilizing effective pedagogy that involves students in the learning process.
• Ability to work well with faculty, staff, and students in a dynamic environment.

The position may be a union position. FTE equal to or greater than 0.5 is represented by the Associated Faculty of Montana State University (AFMSU) and may choose to pay membership dues; positions under 0.5 FTE are not represented by the union.
