LENGTH OF EMPLOYMENT:Academic Calendar Year 2026/2027
WORK SCHEDULE:Flexible schedule between Monday and Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; however, student will work both student and faculty concerts (6-8 per
semester). Concerts may occur on Friday evenings, Saturday evenings, or Friday afternoons. This position may work up to 19 hours per week.
DRESS CODE:Casual with appropriate coverage for day-to-day work. Concert stage managing will require all-black
POSITION PURPOSE/ROLE:Under the minimal supervision, performs general academic functions in support of a specific course, faculty/staff member or department.
POSITION DUTIES:- Files, organizes and maintains the music library and music filing cabinets,
- Assists with concert stage management during student and faculty concerts,
- Assists with concert programs, staffs brochure/information tables, assists with set-ups and teardowns; and sound, light, and scene changes,
- Assists in Musical Theatre production set-ups and teardowns during rehearsals, including replacing batteries for stand lights, etc.,
- Assists Music Faculty in recruiting to local high school music programs,
- Runs errands on campus and hangs up posters as needed,
- May perform other like duties as requested
- Current FVCC student enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits per semester, and
- Ability to work independently with a minimal level of supervision as well as in a team environment, and
- Ability to problem-solve and be self-motivated; and
- Possesses basic office/technology skills and working knowledge of general office practices and procedures; and
- Ability and willingness to provide quality customer service; and
- Effective organizational skills and interpersonal skills; and
- Cooperative spirit in working with peers, supervisors, students and public
Experience as a Music Theory Tutor

STUDENT EMPLOYMENT GUIDELINES:- Students must be enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credits for fall or spring semester to qualify for student employment.
- Students may not work beyond 19 hours per week during semester.
- Student workers shall be actively engaged; no use of cell phones (except in case of emergency) or social media.
- Student workers shall demonstrate a commitment to the job with adherence to work schedule, effective communication/interpersonal skills, and quality customer service skills to be a representative of FVCC.
