Our client in the local area is actively seeking to hire a Senior Structural Engineer (PE) to lead the design and delivery of building structures from concept through construction. This role offers the opportunity to take technical ownership of projects, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and mentor junior engineers in a supportive, forward-thinking environment.
- Lead structural design efforts through all phases of design and construction
- Develop and review structural systems, calculations, drawings, and specifications
- Design gravity, lateral, and foundation systems using industry-standard software
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, clients, contractors, and manufacturers
- Ensure designs meet building codes, jurisdictional requirements, and quality standards
- Respond to RFIs, submittals, and construction-phase questions
- Mentor junior engineers and support their technical growth
- Participate in site visits and client meetings as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- 5+ years of structural design experience on building projects (wood, steel, concrete, and masonry)
- Strong knowledge of building codes and value engineering
- Proficiency in Revit, Bluebeam, and structural software
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
