Microwave Technician

• Execute the installation, activation, and troubleshooting of microwave links following established protocols.
• Perform radio frequency (RF) testing and analysis.
• Conduct site surveys to determine optimal equipment placement and signal strength.
• Troubleshoot and repair microwave radio equipment and related components.
• Install and configure LAN network devices to meet customer requirements effectively.
• Troubleshoot LAN network devices and provide the best solution in case of second availability.
• Conduct surveys for network projects, arrange requirements, and implement solutions as needed.
• Collaborate with other technicians and stakeholders to identify and resolve network issues
• UAT wireless base stations maintenance and resolving 1st level base station issues (in cooperation with Head Office)
• Installing Wire and Wireless equipment at UA wireless base stations and ensuring 100% functionality upon completion.
• Integrating technical solutions successfully done on-site and sharing it with other team members for future use.
• Detailed daily and weekly reports to under-assigned manager.

Qualifications and requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and/ or relevant field
• Knowledge of RF principles and microwave transmission technologies
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in network installation and troubleshooting and/ or
• relevant field
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNA, MCITP or equivalent) will be considered an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical information effectively.
• Full understanding and speaking of Dari, Pashto, and English language
