406 Engineering is seeking an experienced AutoCAD drafter or designer proficient in Autodesk Civil 3D 2018 or newer versions. You will have the option to work in either the Kalispell or Missoula office.

• Drafting (2D and 3D) utilizing Autodesk Civil 3D.
• Preparing and creating construction drawings of various types of civil‑related projects.
• Preparing exhibits and forms needed for agency submittals of 406 projects.
• Providing calculations and reports when helpful for Engineers working on 406 projects.
• Developing and maintaining a CAD standard for 406 Engineering along with other employees.
• Providing training and guidance to other employees on CAD standards and operations.
• Performing other duties as needed to carry out the business of 406 Engineering.
• Maintaining positive and productive relationships with clients and coworkers.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in AutoCAD, proficiency with CAD systems and related products, or recent graduate with an associate or technical degree in drafting or related field.
• Preferred – experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D platforms.
• Required to possess strong critical thinking skills, high attention to detail, and good time‑management abilities.
