Credit Analyst, Loan Officer / Lending
Express Employment Professionals is recruiting an experienced and motivated Commercial Loan Officer for a respected community bank in Northwest Montana. This is an excellent opportunity for a proven lender to grow their career while making a meaningful impact in a close-knit, community‑focused environment. The Commercial Loan Officer will be responsible for developing and managing a diverse commercial loan portfolio while building strong client relationships.
This role requires sound credit judgment, strong analytical skills, and a relationship‑driven approach to business development.
- Portfolio Management:
Oversee and monitor an existing loan portfolio, ensuring financial health, covenant compliance, and timely renewals. - Business Development & Retention:
Generate new commercial loan and deposit relationships while maintaining and growing existing client partnerships. - Underwriting & Loan Structuring:
Analyze financial statements and tax returns to assess credit risk and structure loans (CRE, C&I, SBA) with appropriate terms and collateral. - Credit Presentations:
Prepare detailed credit memos and present loan requests to the Credit Committee. - Community Involvement:
Serve as a representative of the bank by participating in local events, organizations, and community initiatives.
- Minimum of 5 years of commercial lending experience.
- Proven success in business development and portfolio management.
- Strong credit analysis and underwriting capabilities.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship‑building skills.
- Self‑motivated with a strong work ethic and innovative mindset.
- Experience with banking systems, technology, or process improvement is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel), financial analysis tools, and CRM systems.
- Willingness to relocate and become part of the local community.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred (not required).
- Completion of a formal credit training program highly preferred.
- Solid understanding of federal and state banking regulations.
