JOB TITLE:
Real Estate Lender
REPORTS TO:
Head of the Real Estate DepartmentDEPARTMENT:
Lending
Purpose:
Communicate with current and potential real estate customers to present and sell available real estate financing products. Process real estate applications and all associated paperwork. Analyze applicants' financial status, credit and property evaluation to determine loan feasibility. Carefully analyze documents and inform applicant of missing items. Maintain loan pipeline and continuously follow up with customers and loan processors to ensure loans close in a timely fashion.
Responsible for loan collections on existing pipeline.
- Consulting with managers about credit policies, credit lines, standards, and procedures.
- Advising clients on suitable loan and credit options.
- Obtaining and assessing financial information, including financial statements and credit histories.
- Performing due diligence on the lending process from application to closing documentation.
- Negotiating payment arrangements and preparing delinquent loan reports.
- Documenting procedures and maintaining hardcopy and electronic records of loan agreements.
- Keeping abreast of amendments to loan policies, lending procedures, and regulations.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematic skills.

- Advanced knowledge of financial statement analysis.
- Knowledge of current lending and collection laws and regulations.

- Five years of work experience
- Bachelor's degree or work equivalent
- General office equipment (computer, printer, fax, copy machine), scanner, adding machine, calculator.
- Computer knowledge in a Windows environment.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, stand and use hands to grasp, manipulate or feel objects. The employee is frequently required to walk, and occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, climb or balance and reach with hands and arms.
- May be required to lift, carry or move and position items weighing up to 25 lbs. as necessary.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Requires daily work on a computer for 6 hours or more viewing the screen and fingering the keys.
- Ability to move about the branch to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Able to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasked environment.
