Logan Health is seeking an experienced RN Clinical Safety Program Manager to lead and advance our systemwide patient safety efforts. What You Bring Required- Current Montana RN license (or compact license with authorization to practice in Montana).
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
- 3–5+ years of clinical experience in an acute care setting.
- 1–3 years of experience in quality improvement, risk management, or patient safety.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory standards including DNV, CMS, and state/federal requirements.
- Experience conducting Root Cause Analyses (RCA).
- Experience with event reporting systems and data analysis.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present to varied audiences.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential matters professionally.
- Strong organizational skills, critical thinking ability, and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Master’s degree (MSN, MHA, or related field).
- Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS) or Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ).
- Experience leading implementation of quality strategies including benchmarking, monitoring action plans, and sustainability tracking.
- Knowledge of improvement methodologies such as PDSA, Lean, or Six Sigma.
- Experience managing patient complaints or grievances.
- Lead the implementation and ongoing review of Logan Health’s Clinical Safety Program.
- Partner with the Executive Director of Quality to maintain and advance the organization’s strategic vision for patient safety.
- Promote a culture of safety grounded in transparency, just culture principles, and human factors theory.
- Oversee the collection and utilization of operational and benchmarking data.
- Develop quality filters, audits, and case reviews to monitor trends and identify sentinel events.
- Recommend improvement targets in collaboration with operational leaders.
- Identify trends and outline remedial actions to reduce patient risk and complications.
- Facilitate Root Cause Analyses in partnership with Risk Management.
- Guide leaders through event and chart reviews, GAP analyses, and clinical safety risk identification.
- Support development and sustainability of corrective action plans.
- Ensure compliance with accrediting and regulatory requirements.
- Serve as a resource to providers, leadership, and staff on safety events, reporting systems, and investigation processes.
- Collaborate with Education to support training related to clinical safety practices.
- Participate in professional staff development and community education efforts as appropriate.
- Develop, review, and update policies related to clinical safety.
- Coordinate program management across the continuum of care.
- Support the creation and implementation of clinical protocols and practice guidelines.
- Ensure alignment between administrative and clinical patient safety activities.
