Compu Net, Inc is seeking a Microsoft Senior Solutions Engineer to join our team serving our Big Sky market. The selected candidate can be physically located anywhere within our market area which includes Montana, Wyoming, North Dakota, South Dakota, Eastern Idaho and Alaska.
The Microsoft Senior Solutions Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and deploying highly effective business solutions using the latest Microsoft products and technologies, including Office 365, Exchange, Azure, Active Directory and related services. This role combines advanced Microsoft technology with IT operations and strategic business acumen, focusing on mapping client requirements to business value and operational effectiveness.
As a member of the Compu Net team, you will deliver consulting engagements, manage customer expectations, and leverage the core components of Microsoft cloud services offerings and on-premise solutions where a best-fit for the business is identified. Strong communication skills and the ability to guide clients through multi-stream projects are essential.
This role requires experience with traditional Microsoft Premise solutions, Hybrid Solutions, Cloud solutions, and the operational experience of major upgrades and complex migrations, along with a passion for interacting with customers and delivering excellence in the customer experience.
Core Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Communicate Microsoft Office 365 / Azure product benefits and professional services capabilities to both technical IT teams and business leaders.
- Support and grow the value and productivity customers receive from using Microsoft technologies around Office 365 and collaboration products.
- Independently gather and translate client business requirements into a use case for Microsoft O365 (or other products) and drive adoption.
- Collaborate with the sales team to build winning strategies for our clients.
- Perform necessary pre-sales functions to create solution designs.
- Provide effective whiteboard storytelling to communicate designs and strategies with clients and team members.
- Build Bills of Materials (BoM), create illustrations and diagrams, and write and provide Statements of Work (SoW).
- Post-sales implementation of the designed solution and assist in the customer adoption experience.
- Provide client end-user systems administration training (post-implementation) of Compu Net solutions.
- Ensure customers understand relevant application features, infrastructure, and operations implications of the solution.
- Participate in occasional speaking engagements to provide technical expertise for “go-to market” strategies or related events.
- Assist our company with internal IT deployments/implementations of Microsoft O365 solutions as needed.
Key Expectations of this role:
- Be an O365 / Exchange / Active Directory subject matter expert, understanding licensing and product function.
- Develop and grow O365 market opportunities and strategies.
- Listen to and address customer technical challenges and design scalable, integrated solutions.
- Assist with further developing our Microsoft Partnership and Programs.
- Be an active participant in the larger Compu Net Microsoft practice.
- Maintain existing certifications and grow into new related areas.
- Participate in all team functions including calls, meetings, and events.
- Accept mentorship from Compu Net Distinguished Systems Engineers (DSCs) and Consulting Systems Engineers (CSEs).
- Own the opportunity lifecycle (pre-sales, solution delivery and ongoing solution optimization).
Position Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in IT systems development or consulting.
- 7+ years of experience in designing solutions to solve business problems.
- 7+ years of industry experience with Microsoft products.
