ResponsibilitiesA deli cook is responsible for making all Super 1 Foods recipes to spec and ensuring the highest food quality and taste. This position requires adhering to all procedural guidelines set by the department manager. The role includes preparing all ingredients and recipes to spec, ensuring highest quality and taste, properly stocking, rotating labels, and storing products. It also involves maintaining equipment, ensuring safety in food preparation and storage areas, cleaning and sweeping, inspecting and logging products for accuracy of production, temperature, and quality.
Additional responsibilities include operating and using equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, and applying knowledge of scaling and weight measures to accurately weigh and label products.
Further duties include ensuring safe handling of machinery, compliance with safety standards, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
