Member Experience Manager - Kalispell, MT (Northwest Montana Region)
Pay: $40,000 - $42,000/year DOE

The Member Experience Manager (MEM) is responsible for growing and supporting Girl Scout membership throughout the Northwest Montana region. This role combines community outreach, volunteer management, membership growth, program coordination, and relationship-building to ensure girls and volunteers have a positive and successful Girl Scout experience.
This position offers the opportunity to work with both the community and outdoors, creating hands-on experiences that encourage girls to explore, learn, lead, and build confidence. The MEM also helps advance STEM and outdoor initiatives by connecting girls with opportunities to engage in science, technology, engineering, and math, as well as outdoor education, exploration, and skill-building.
Working closely with volunteers, schools, community organizations, and families, this position develops and implements strategies that increase membership, strengthen retention, and expand access to Girl Scout opportunities.
The MEM serves as both a coach and resource for troop leaders while cultivating partnerships that help bring the Girl Scout experience to more girls across the region.
Membership Growth & Recruitment- Develop and implement year-round membership recruitment strategies
- Identify and engage new communities, schools, and organizations to expand Girl Scout participation
- Meet established membership and retention goals for both girls and adult volunteers
- Analyze local trends and identify opportunities for membership growth
- Represent Girl Scouts and engage directly with the public throughout the Northwest Montana region, including at community events, fairs, schools, and other public gatherings by tabling, engaging with families, answering questions, hands-on recruitment activities, and creating opportunities for new members to connect with Girl Scouts of Montana and Wyoming.
- Recruit, onboard, train, and support adult volunteers and troop leaders
- Serve as the primary point of contact for troop leaders within your region
- Provide coaching, problem-solving, and ongoing support to volunteers
- Connect volunteers with resources, training, and leadership development opportunities
- Monitor volunteer engagement and identify strategies to improve retention and satisfaction
- Build and maintain relationships with schools, community organizations, businesses, and other stakeholders
- Develop partnerships that increase awareness of Girl Scouts and expand access to programming
- Represent GSMW at community events, networking opportunities, and outreach activities
- Identify innovative opportunities for collaboration and community engagement
- Implement and assess membership support strategies across assigned regions
- Track performance metrics and evaluate effectiveness of recruitment and retention efforts
- Recommend improvements and innovative approaches to better serve girls and volunteers
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to membership and volunteer engagement
- Frequent travel within the Northwest MT region is required. This position includes regular time out in the community and may include outdoor, hands-on, and STEM-focused activities***
