Logan Health Medical Center’s PCU provides primary care to adults with high acuity needs, including cardiac, respiratory, and critical care. The unit emphasizes goal‑directed, individualized nursing care using a structured nursing process.

• Provide goal‑directed, individualized nursing care, including assessment, treatment, care planning, and medical care evaluation.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to manage patient care and maintain high safety and quality standards.
• Educate patients and families, serving as a vital link between them and the care team.
• Respond quickly to changing patient conditions in a 1:3 nurse‑to‑patient ratio designed for high‑acuity care.
• Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized, goal‑directed nursing care using the nursing process.
• Transcribe and implement provider orders accurately and efficiently.
• Problem‑solve issues affecting patient care and maintain infection control procedures.
• Document encounters in accordance with organizational standards.
• Provide instruction and education to patients and families per department protocol.
• Assess and anticipate patient needs and coordinate necessary interventions per policy and provider orders.

• Current Montana RN license or multi‑state compact license authorized to practice in Montana.
• BSN degree preferred.
• Minimum of two years experience in a similar position.
• RQI Provider (BLS) certification required within 7 days of hire or before independent patient care.
• NIHSS certification obtained within 6 months of hire.
• Knowledge of professional nursing theory, medical terminology, and principles of nursing practice.
• Strong communication, organization, and critical thinking skills.

Night shift – 12 hours; full‑time, 36 hours per week; 12‑hour night shifts. Logan Health operates 24/7; schedules may be adjusted to meet organisational needs.
