Overview
Logan Health Children’s is seeking an experienced NICU Registered Nurse (RN) for night shift. The hospital is a 12‑bed, Level III NICU located in Kalispell, Montana.

- Current Montana RN license or a multi‑state compact license authorized in Montana (required).
- BSN degree preferred.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar NICU position (new graduate RNs not considered).
- RQI Provider (BLS) within 7 days of hire or before independent patient care.
- NRP certification within 6 months of hire/transfer.
- STABLE certification within 1 year of hire/transfer.
- Knowledge of professional nursing theory, medical terminology, HIPAA, OSHA, and clinical laboratory methods.
- Excellent organizational, critical‑thinking, verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and willingness to learn additional software.
- Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized, goal‑directed nursing care using the nursing process.
- Maintain nursing standards of care, respond to changing workloads and patient conditions by remaining calm, assessing, prioritizing, and seeking assistance when needed.
- Transcribe and implement provider orders accurately.
- Problem‑solve issues affecting patient care.
- Practice infection control procedures per policy.
- Identify, evaluate, and report reaction changes in patients’ physical and mental conditions.
- Document all patient encounters following organizational standards.
- Provide instruction and education to patients and families about health and medical needs.
- Assess and anticipate patient needs and coordinate necessary interventions as per policy and provider orders.
Night Shift – 12 hours. Full‑time, 36 hours per week, 12‑hour night shifts. Logan Health operates 24/7; schedules may be adjusted as needed.
