Logan Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) leader to serve as Nurse Manager for our 40-bed Acute Care / Medical-Surgical Unit in beautiful Kalispell, Montana.
This leader will provide clinical, operational, and people leadership within one of our fast-paced inpatient care environments, supporting a high-acuity and diverse medical-surgical patient population. The Nurse Manager plays a critical role in driving patient care quality, workforce engagement, operational excellence, and interdisciplinary collaboration across the unit.

The Acute Care Unit is a 40-bed inpatient medical-surgical unit caring for a broad range of patients requiring acute hospitalization, complex care coordination, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
This unit operates in a high-volume, fast-paced environment requiring strong operational leadership, staffing oversight, patient throughput coordination, and a consistent focus on patient safety and quality outcomes.
The Nurse Manager partners closely with frontline nursing leaders, physicians, case management, therapy teams, and hospital leadership to support efficient operations, staff development, and exceptional patient care delivery.

Provide day-to-day operational and clinical oversight of the Acute Care Unit
Support safe, high-quality patient care delivery and effective staffing operations
Maintain a visible leadership presence and support frontline staff and nursing leaders
Monitor productivity, patient flow, staffing, and operational performance metrics
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, nursing practice requirements, and organizational policies
Lead patient safety, risk reduction, and quality improvement initiatives
Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and service excellence
Support patient experience initiatives and service recovery efforts
Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration and organizational committees
Foster a collaborative, professional, and accountable work environment
Support recruitment, retention, onboarding, coaching, and performance management efforts
Conduct performance evaluations, competency validation, and ongoing staff development
Mentor and support frontline nursing leadership growth and succession planning
Support departmental fiscal accountability, budgeting, and resource management
Analyze operational and quality data to identify improvement opportunities
Align unit goals and performance initiatives with organizational strategic priorities
Current Montana RN license or multistate compact license with authorization to practice in Montana
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field preferred
Minimum three (3) years of progressive leadership experience in an acute care environment
Minimum two (2) years of recent acute care clinical experience
Current RQI Healthcare Provider certification
Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare operations, regulatory requirements, staffing practices, and care delivery systems
