Logan Health is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse with a passion for Oncology to support our patients through their treatment journey.

Where you'll be working:

This position will primarily be based out Logan Health Medical Center Hospital Infusion. You will also float to assist our outpatient Hematology/Oncology Infusion lcoated in the Rock building at 350 Heritage Way in Kalispell, MT.What you'll be doing:

This role involves direct patient care in our Oncology Infusion unit, focusing on administering chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and supportive infusion therapies.

* Key Responsibilities:

*** Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other oncology-specific infusions.
* Administering treatments to Pediatric patients as well as adults
* Provide patient education and emotional support tailored to each stage of the treatment process.
* Monitor and manage patient symptoms and infusion reactions, collaborating with the broader oncology care team.
* Maintain accurate patient records and participate in treatment planning.

* Preferred Qualifications:

*** Prior experience in Oncology Infusion preferred, including chemotherapy and immunotherapy administration.
* Have completed the ONS Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Certification Course.  Will be required to obtain within 6 months of hire if you do not have this.
* Oncology Nursing Certification (OCN) is a plus!
* APHON (Association of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Nursing) provider course  Will be required to obtain within 24 months of hire if  you do not have this.
* PEARS course  Will be required within 12 months of hire if you do not have.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to support patients and families compassionately.

* Qualifications:

*** Current Montana RN license or a multi state compact license with authorization to practice nursing within the state of Montana; required.  BSN degree preferred.
* Completion of the ONS Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Certification Course or willing to obtain within 6 months of hire.
* Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in similar position within a medical setting (eg, physician office, clinic, or hospital) preferred.  Experience in assigned area(s) preferred.
* RQI Provider (BLS) required within 7 days of hire/transfer or before independent patient care, whichever occurs first.
* Possess knowledge of professional nursing theory, medical terminology and principles of professional nursing practice to administer and evaluate patient care.
* Additional certifications may be required as applicable to assigned area(s).
* Understanding of the confidentiality laws that govern the provider-patient relationship, including but not limited to, HIPAA guidelines.
* Knowledge of equipment, supplies, and instruments used in a medical office; simple routine clinical laboratory methods, universal blood and body fluid precautions.
* Must have knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations, established protocol for storing poisons, narcotics, acids, caustics, and flammable items; restriction imposed by various manage care carriers, various forms inherent to profession.
* Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, a self-starter, possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently.  Commitment to working in a team environment and maintaining confidentiality as needed.
