Logan Health Children's, located in scenic Kalispell, offers a 12‑bed Level III NICU and the largest group of fellowship‑trained pediatric specialists in the state.
- Full‑time work schedule required for no less than a 13‑week period
- 15% Seasonal Premium and additional night and weekend shift differential pay

- Seasonal RN must have at least 2 years of applicable nursing experience for the unit assigned
- Current Montana RN license or a multi‑state compact license with authorization to practice within Montana (required)
- BSN degree preferred
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar NICU position (required)
- NRP certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire/transfer
- STABLE certification within 1 year of hire/transfer
- RQI Provider (BLS) required within 7 days of hire/transfer or before independent patient care, whichever is first
- Knowledge of professional nursing theory, medical terminology, and nursing practice principles
- Understanding of confidentiality laws, including HIPAA guidelines
- Knowledge of equipment, supplies, instruments; routine clinical laboratory methods; universal blood and body fluid precautions
- Knowledge of OSHA rules, regulations, and protocols for storing poisons, narcotics, acids, caustics, flammable items
- Excellent organizational skills, detail‑oriented, self‑starter, critical thinking, priority setting, teamwork and independent functioning
- Commitment to confidentiality and teamwork
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills for dealing with sensitive and confidential situations
- Knowledge of patient behavior and needs
- Computer skills:

Specific Duties
- Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized, goal‑directed nursing care for patients using the nursing process as appropriate for RN’s in the assigned area(s)
- Maintain nursing standards of care and respond to changing workloads and patient conditions by remaining calm, making objective assessments, prioritizing, and seeking assistance when appropriate
- Transcribe and implement provider orders and treatments, both verbal and written, accurately and efficiently as noted by chart reviews and observation
- Consistently problem‑solve issues affecting patient care
- Exhibit thorough infection control procedures per policy and procedure in the assigned area(s)
- Identify, verbally evaluate, and report reaction changes in patient physical and mental conditions
- Document all patient encounters in accordance with organizational standards, demonstrating the nursing process
- Provide individual instruction and education to patients and families regarding health and medical needs per department protocol and as applicable to the assigned area(s)
- Assess and anticipate patient needs, coordinating necessary interventions as defined by policy, procedure, and the provider’s written or verbal orders in the assigned area(s)
- Consistently problem‑solve issues affecting patient care
- Maintain regular and consistent attendance as scheduled by department leadership
Night Shift – 12 hours (United States of America). Full‑time hours, 36 hours per week, 12‑hour night shifts. Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the position’s requirements and organizational needs and may be adjusted as needed.
